Greenwood Charter School Authorized

MS Delta Academies yesterday received approval by the Mississippi Charter School Authorizer Board to open Leflore Legacy Academy, serving grades 6-8, in Greenwood. In its first year, 2020-2021, the school will serve only grade 6. The board rejected applications for charter schools in Canton and Vicksburg-Warren, as well as a second application for another Greenwood charter school. Note:

Letters of Intent Submitted for 14 New Charter Schools

Letters of intent for the 2019 application cycle were submitted to the Mississippi Charter School Authorizer Board for 14 new charter schools. The proposed charter schools would be located in the following school districts:  Canton, Cleveland, Greenville (2), Greenwood (2), Holly Springs, Holmes County Consolidated (2), McComb, North Bolivar Consolidated, South Pike, Vicksburg-Warren, Wilkinson County.

Clarksdale Collegiate Approved by Board
